Achievements:

• He was successful in getting MCI recognition for the DM Gastroenterology seat. Later the number of super speciality seats were increased from 1 to 3 during his tenure.
• He established one of the best gastroenterology units, acquiring endoscopic ultrasound machine for the very first time in the state.
• During his tenure as Prof and HOD, four DM Gastroenterology students from 4 consecutive batches stood first in the University examinations and were awarded with gold medals.
• He was an examiner for DNB and DM gastroenterology at various prestigious institutes.
• He has published more than 25 papers in National and International journals.
• He is a member of Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Indian Association for Study of Liver Diseases as well as Endoscopic Society of India.
• He served as the Secretary of Indian Society Gastroenterology, AP chapter from 2009 to 2011.
• From July 2012 to Oct. 2016, he worked as a professor and HOD of gastroenterology at MGM, Warangal.
• During his tenure as a Prof and HOD, he established a full-fledged endoscopic unit at MGM hospital and for the first time introduced colonoscopies, ERCPs and various other therapeutic procedures.
• From August 2015 to October 2016 he served as the Principal, Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal and Additional DME.
