Overview:

Dr. Sudeep K is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive expertise in trauma care, joint replacement, arthroscopy, and regenerative medicine. A graduate of Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupathi, he earned his M.B.B.S in 2007, followed by a Diplomate of National Board (Ortho) in 2013. He further honed his skills through a fellowship in Joint Replacement and Arthroscopy from Dr. MGR Medical University. With over 15 years of clinical and surgical experience, Dr. Sudeep has developed a well-rounded orthopedic practice that encompasses both high-volume trauma surgery and advanced arthroscopic procedures.

Dr. Sudeep has undergone specialized training at several prestigious institutions including the Mayo Clinic (USA), Soundarapandian Bone and Joint Hospital (Chennai), and TOSH (Trauma Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital). He has assisted and independently performed over 1000 joint replacements involving the hip, knee, and shoulder. Additionally, he has carried out more than 1000 knee and 500 shoulder arthroscopies, working alongside top arthroscopy surgeons in Chennai and Kerala. His clinical interests include minimally invasive joint surgeries, complex primary and revision joint replacements, periprosthetic fracture management, and biologic cartilage preservation techniques such as PRP and stem cell therapy.

Dr. Sudeep’s surgical acumen is complemented by active research and academic contributions, with papers and case studies presented at various state and national conferences. Notably, he successfully performed one of the first reverse shoulder replacements in his region with remarkable long-term outcomes. He also serves as faculty and panelist in national-level orthopedic and arthroscopy forums. Dr. Sudeep is known for his holistic, patient-centered approach — emphasizing early rehabilitation and smart techniques for optimal recovery and outcomes.

Currently, Dr. Sudeep is serving as a Consultant - Trauma, Joint Replacement & Arthroscopy Surgeon at KIMS Sreechand Hospital, Kannur. He is also a Visiting Surgeon at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in the Maldives, where he contributes his expertise in joint reconstruction and complex trauma surgeries. His international exposure and commitment to excellence continue to elevate the standards of orthopedic care across regions.
