1. NIMHANS: Senior Resident (August 2011 to July 2013)
  • Inpatient and outpatient care of patients suffering from a wide variety of neurological diseases at a 900-bedded tertiary care facility, a national referral centre for neurological and psychiatric diseases, the largest in the area.
  • Management of patients in a 26-bedded ICU unit, housing facilities for acute care, including intravenous thrombolysis.
  • Acquired expertise in clinical neurological examination, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic neurological disorders, and in emergency management of the acutely ill neurological patient.
  • Performance and interpretation of electrophysiological investigations like electromyography and nerve conduction studies.
  • Interpretation of neuro-imaging studies (CT, MRI).
  • Routine performance of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, e.g., biopsies of nerve, muscle, and skin, and diagnostic and therapeutic lumbar puncture.
