Dr. Harish Goutham Medapati is a consultant in the department of surgical gastroenterology and minimal access surgery at the renowned KIMS Hospitals, Gachibowli. He has an illustrious academic and professional record spanning two decades. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University Hospital, Siddhartha Medical College, and postgraduate medical training at JIPMER. He spent one more year in JIPMER as a faculty member of surgery, training postgraduates. He later earned his super-specialty degree in surgical gastroenterology from the prestigious Government Medical College, Srinagar. He was awarded the Fellowship by the Indian Association of Gastroendoscopic Surgeons (FIAGES) and additionally holds Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (FALS) in GastroIntestinal Oncology.

Dr. Harish Goutham Medapati specializes in minimally invasive treatment for many complex gastrointestinal disorders. He has performed more than 1000 laparoscopic procedures for various gastrointestinal disorders, including bariatric and metabolic surgery. He has a special interest in managing complex hepatobiliary problems and cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. He also has vast experience in treating common anorectal problems like fistula in ano and hemorrhoids. Keeping up with recent advances in technology, he has experience using LASERS to treat many anorectal problems. Harish Goutham Medapati, along with his team of doctors, ensures a comprehensive approach to gastrointestinal problems and passionately strives to deliver high-quality care to all his patients.

Dr. Harish Goutham Medapati also has a keen interest in research and teaching. He had presented his research work on an international platform at Digestive Diseases Week in Chicago and had published research papers in various journals.

Dr.Harish Goutham Medapati, along with the clinical and research work, had great leadership qualities and is the Founder President of Telangana Association of Surgical Gastroenterologists and Gastrointestinal Oncosurgeons(TASG).
